just a little relaxing time... Posted by Hello

ooh la la Posted by Hello

sorry it's been a while since I've posted. Things have been pretty packed as far as school goes. Sven came to town yesterday and we all had a big wrestling match. Angela and Mary are coming today and we're all going to Angela's grandma's cabin for a little Halloween bash thing.

Heather let me trim her hair last night and it took me forever! Not to mention the fact that somehow I ended up cutting off almost the entire tip of my middle finger on my left hand. Not knowing it was bleeding so bad I flicked it for a second to dull the pain. Yeah, I ended up splattering blood all over the kitchen counter, my shirt and my wildlife management book that cost me a hundred bucks.
So after the hair cutting episode we went to bed. I was late to my swimming class this morning but it was still fun to swim with my newly cut hair. The teacher has been giving me pointers on how to increase the pull I get with my freestyle stroke. I think it's working because I'm getting a lot more tired and my muscles feel sore today for the first time all semester. (oh, a little side note. I bumped my finger on the wall and it started bleeding again. All the way through the bandaid and in the water- sick huh?)
After swimming I called my boss to ask if I could not go into work so I could study and sat down on the couches in the Hart to study for my wildlife midterm. That was a bad idea. I ended up falling asleep for an hour and a half straight! That left me just one hour to study so I crammed as best as I could and went in at noon to take the test. The stupid thing was 10 pages long and all write on :( So I did the best I could and turned it in. Sometimes if frustrates me that I always to bad in Bro. Stricklan's classes.
It's days like today when it's cold, raining, and I'm not doing well in school that I want to change my plans agian, graduate in December and find a mediocre job in San Diego. I don't even know if I can get into grad school and if I can I probably won't be able to handle it. I don't even care to be rich, I just don't want to be poor.
Well, I'm off to another day in ecology lab. Lab goes from 3 to 6 then I rush home, change, eat and go up to the intermural fields where we play a tournament flag footbal game at 7. If we win tonight and tomorrow we play thursday for first place in the stadium :)

its just another manic monday...

Well, this morning I woke up, got ready for school packed breakfast, lunch and was out of the house all while my roommate was in the shower. I think it would be a bummer to take that long in the morning. I would have to wake up an hour earlier everyday...ugg. Anyways, it was so cold this morning that my bike froze to the grass. Yeah, not encouraging. But so far it's been a good day. I love having my hair short again.
Yesterday we went to Heather's Aunt's house and she feed us dinner. I had Elk for the first time and with a little A1 sauce it was really good. Plus they had really good biscuits, fresh mashed potatoes and corn. Then we played pool and watched the Itallian Job. That's a good movie :)
Andy asked me on a date on Saturday but I couldn't go because he called at a little after 3 and I was already going to this party thing with Tiff and Heather. I almost felt bad but then I realized that he asked me out 3 hours in advance. How was I expected to not have any plans? Oh well though, it was a nice gesture.
As for Halloween...there's a big party/dance thing at the Delta Center. I think we should all seriously consider going. I want to go. It's down in Utah so Fern won't have to leave or buy tickets (front money) and I think it sounds like fun. Plus going down to Utah leaves me the opportunity of rock climbing during the day :)
Well, I better go...I have a mid term today for Bro. Stricklan's class...killer!

Ok, here's a quick update on my week. Rick Udy came to town and we went to Taco Time for lunch. While we were there we decided to call Sean and he and Rachel met us down there. Rick paid for everything and even insisted that I get another taco or something for later saying that he knows how Angela aways bought tons of food and saved it for the next "3 weeks" and figured I'd like to do the same. So I did. That was the best lunch I'd had in a long time.
We've been winning our flag football tournament games. In our first one I caught an awesome pass in the in zone and scored a touchdown! Yeah but then I managed to drop the next 3 passes in a row and get 2 penalties in a row that cost us the ball. At least we won though. If we'd lost and got cut from tournament because of that I think I'd get jumped by our team in a dark alley. We have got the toughest group of girls I have ever seen for a team. I think we might actually win championship :)
I got really sick of my hair being long and Heather cut it last night. Here are some pic's! I love my hair short! I can't handle growing it out.
We also went to cotton tree in this morning for some breakfast. mmm...waffles :)
It's raining a lot today, so I don't know what's on the schedule. As far as Halloween goes I think we should have a party at Angela's grandma's cabin. Ok, gotta jet -jo

I tried to make a post earlier but it screwed up and all the time I spend writing was for nothing! now I have to go to class...sorry

Wednesday, October 20, 2004

Well, It's Wednesday again. The weeks seem to fly by and I have no idea what I do, but I don't do enough homework. My research paper for Stricklan is due next week and I still don't have all my sources. I know I write lots of little dumb details about my life on my blog but I figure those who want to read it can and those who don't can skip over it. So here it goes. I lost my whole case of mini discs last week. That includes over 30 hours of music mixes that I have spent forever putting together. I've searched my room, my backpack and the house. I have no idea where it is and I'm a little nervous because the school is having their lost and found sale today which I wont be able to get to because it starts at 12 and I'm in class from 12-5 today. Then I have class again from 7-10. Yeah, wednesdays suck. Oh, to top things off I was planning on going to the gym during my 2 hour break and I just got a mass e-mail saying that due to some maintenance work the gym will be closed from 4:45 to 7pm. Could they have better timing?
It rained tody, but despite that the weather feels pretty good. I'm so glad the wind wasn't blowing. I like fall because of the colors but at the same time I really wish it could either be warm and I could play outside or it would snow and I could snowboard.
I've decided to have a song of the day. Basically it's going to be the song that is stuck in my head when I post my blog. Today's song I don't know the name of (don't be suprised if this happens a lot) but it's by modest mouse and the chorus part goes "please bury me with it!"

I slep in this morning...again. But I'm getting more and more used to that so I can shift my schedule around pretty easy to compensate for it. I went to swimming class this morning and I've found a nifty way to eat a warm breakfast afterwards without having to bike all the way home. I've been filling my 'fair share' mug with either oat meal or wheat berries and pouring a little dry powdered milk in with it. Then after class I pop it in the microwave at the Benson, put a little water in it, close the lid, shake and presto: warm breakfast, cold milk and I don't have to worry about what to do with the dirty bowl afterwards.
I got to drill holes through cinder blocks today at work. It made a big mess, but that was most of the fun. I cut my knuckle open rock climbing a little while ago and some how I hit it again and it started bleeding all over the place. I think I even managed to get it on my face. Oh well though, it makes me look tough right?
Today is devotional and I'm actually going to get to go. I have ecology lab at 3pm and for the last couple of weeks my lab partner (erin) and I have spent devotional hour finishing our write up. This week we did it monday. We were at her house and her mouse froze up...I used the keyboard to finish what we were doing, save and print our writeup...erin made me feel like a genius child for knowing what to do. That's why we're lab partners :)
My mom called one day when Heather and I were cooking potatoes, carrots and onions from her garden for dinner. I don't know if it was something I said or if it was just my mom being my mom, but somehow she interpreted that as meaning I was starving and only had potatoes that I found or that people would give to me to eat. So of course she called grandma and before I knew it there was a card and a check in the mail for me. I feel a little guilty, but mostly greatful. I went to the grocery store yesterday and bought tons of good food. I've found one way to keep from eating as many sweets is to eat food I really like for a meal. Then I'll feel satisfied and wont need as many supliments.
Well, most of my picture on my blog will be ripped off from brian's pictory because he's the only one I know with a digital camera. So here's another one from Chilli's this weekend.

Here's me coming back down from a climb at paramount Posted by Hello

this one's for you

I can't believe I finally made a blog. I hope you guys are happy. I don't have much time before class starts but I thought I'd make my first post. It's freakn cold here and it snowed this morning (didn't stick though). But there's nothing worse than riding your bike up a monster hill when you're tired, it's freezing and there's a strong Rexburg head wind. Not to mention the fact that you're riding towards school. Yeah, not very motivating. Besides that though all I've done today is eat and go to class. I skipped spinning class and stayed home and made pancakes today. I thought it would help cheer up the morning. It worked :)
I have no idea how to post pictures...if you'd like to let me know it would be great.
